KOPAR EXPERTISE FOR THE CEMENT INDUSTRY
Kopar is a leading manufacturer of bulk and solid materials handling equipment for the cement industry and other producers of construction materials. The company has years of experience and many cement plant references. More recently Kopar’s expertise was strengthened by two Finnish acquisitions, namely those of Site Teollisuus and Elmomet. Both companies enjoy a long history in the design and supply of bulk and solid materials handling equipment.
Kopar’s range of materials handling equipment includes pneumatic and mechanical conveyor systems, storage and dosing systems, filtering and dust removal equipment and screening systems. Further equipment includes silos and tanks. Kopar also offers many customer services from design to end-user training.

CONVEYING SOLUTIONS
One of Kopar’s main specialities is the design and supply of pneumatic conveyors and in particular, custom-designed complete conveying systems. There are several systems to transfer materials pneumatically and Kopar is able to design the right system based on the cement plant specification. The target always is to design the most efficient, competitive and reliable solution.
In addition to the conveyors themselves, Kopar delivers the other related equipment that are needed to make the conveying system an overall process solution covering all needs that exist at cement plants. More often the system requires feeders, fluid slides, compressors, dryers, etc. Since Kopar in most cases is responsible for the design of the whole process, it is Kopar’s expertise and responsibility to source equipment and components from outside suppliers in case a particular piece of machinery or component is not manufactured by Kopar itself.
Kopar also is an experienced designer, manufacturer and supplier of mechanical conveying systems. The mechanical system may consist of screw conveyors, bucket elevators, air slides and belt conveyors, just to name a few of the components. Kopar also manufacturers heavy-duty drag chain conveyors.
In most cement plants, the volume of transferred materials is between 100 and 150 tph. If needed, Kopar conveying systems can be designed to transfer materials up to 200 tph. Kopar is able to move all types of powders and granulated materials that cement plants need and require to move.
STORAGE SOLUTIONS
Kopar is an experienced supplier of silos and tanks. The range includes small dosing silos up to large ones with a capacity of 2,000 m³. They are mostly made of steel but also aluminium can be used. Kopar’s silo range covers a variety of different types of silos such as those supported by jacks, equipped with a low chamber, thermal-sealed silos and silos that discharge to trucks and trains.
Furthermore, Kopar’s competence in silo and tank configurations extends the expertise to supply components that are needed for the whole system. These include filters, pipes, scaling, discharging devices, steel structures, etc.
The number of equipment, machinery and components offered by Kopar for the cement industry is very extensive. The range includes
• Silos
• Storage silos
