TOP FEED FILTERS
Top-Feed Filters (TFF) are used for de-watering Na2SO4 as well as other easily settling salts and sludge.
The cake is formed on the drum surface in a feed box. After drying stage the cake is discharged by pressurized air and a doctor. Lower edge of the feed box is tightly pressed against the drum and equipped with a stepless distance control, sludge distributing equipment and overflow box.
The filter is provided with efficient washing of solids, and of the drum surface after the cake has been removed from the filter.
The filter is equipped with a tight hood into which hot air or steam can be blown in order to improve the dry substance content.
Kopar Top-Feed Filter is low on operating and maintenance costs and only requires very few spare parts.
ROTARY TABLE FILTERS
Rotary Table Filters (RTF) are used to filter NaClO3 as well as other heavy salts and sludge, particularly when efficient multistage cake washing is necessary.
The cake is formed by feeding solids and mother liquid to the feed box and by spreading the solids smoothly on the filter surface by an adjustable plough. The cake is washed in several lines and discharged by means of a screw and pressurized air. A thin layer of cake is left on the filter surface to form a pre-coat media, which improves filtering and protects the table surface.
The filter is driven by a variable speed drive through a reduction and girth gear. The table runs on a horizontal guide roller bearing. The normal rotation speeds are 0,1 – 0,6 rpm and 0,2 – 1,2 rpm. The filter is also equipped with a tight hood into which hot air can be blown to raise the dry substance content.
