DRAG CHAIN CONVEYORS
Drag chain conveyors are ideal for transporting powdered and dusty materials. Such materials that are often handled in power plants, smelters, pulp & paper and chemical industries, among others. Drag chain conveyors make it easy to transfer all kind of powder materials (for example (waste heat boilers, or electrostatic precipitators).
By choosing the correct link and pin material, even the most abrasive and hot (up to 600ºC; 1.112ºF) materials can be handled safely and effectively. Kopar drag chains are usually made of case hardened or tempering steel.
Cooling Conveyors are used when it is necessary to both transfer and cool down powdered materials.
A cooling screw conveyor can be used to cool almost any bulk material. Heat indirectly transfers from the product by introducing a heat transfer medium such as cool water through a special trough jacket and/or through the pipe and hollow flights of the screw processor.
Achieving the specified exit temperature of the product is accomplished by calculating the surface area of the screw processor and designing the system flow to match the heat load requirements of the application.
Screw conveyors are a reliable method for the transport of a broad range of bulk materials for a variety of applications in several industries.
A screw conveyor uses a rotating helical screw blade, normally within a tube, to move granular materials. Screw conveyors are often used horizontally or at a slight incline as an efficient way to move bulk materials, including boiler ash, concentrate, wood chips, cereal grains, food, solid waste, and others.
Screw conveyors can be operated with the flow of material inclined upward. When space allows, this is a very economical method of elevating and conveying at the same time.
Frames and screws can be manufactured of carbon steel, acid resistant steel or stainless steel, depending of the needs.
There are two main types of crushers in the Kopar product range. The rotor crusher is usually used in the primary stage followed by the roller crusher for the secondary stage. These crushers are used in crushing materials that are cloddy or lumpy but still easily degradable to make them more suitable for further processing. Typical materials are waste heat boiler slag and dust lumps formed up in the process.

One of the most efficient ways to elevate bulk materials vertically is with a Kopar bucket elevator ( highest capacity of vertical elevating of bulk materials) .
A Bucket Elevator consists of a series of buckets attached to a belt or chain with pulleys or sprockets located at the top and bottom of the unit. The buckets are located in a casing or housing to contain the material.
Our bucket elevators are widely applicable in charging/discharging control of concentrates, malt and grains as well as ash, and in material conveying at ports and also for general use in food industry.

Important operation cost reductions can be accomplished by the introduction of metal and slag granulation in order to replace the traditional methods of casting and grinding method. During the granulation process with water the liquid metal solidified to uniformly sized granules suitable for raw material handling and further processing or selling.
Before the next phase in the process, the granules must be dewatered. A bucket elevator, also another Kopar piece of machinery, lifts the granules up from the pit dewatering them during the lift.

Drag chain conveyors are suitable to transport all kind of bulk materials as for example; ash, lime, chemicals, food, and solid fuels, convying range being between 1 to 600 m3/h. The key is the continuous and efficient material flow, which ensures extremely high availability and first - class profitability. Kopar forged conveyor chain are especially suitable when the material is abrasive or when the working conditions are hot (up to 600º C; 1.112º F). Kopar drag chains are usually made of case hardened steel (20MnCr5) or tempering steel (27MnCrB5) also known as boron steel. In special cases, links and pins are made of hardened stainless steel or heat resistant steel.
There are three main flight types of drag chains:
T-flight chain is suitable for horizontal conveying and up to conveyor width of 630 mm.
P-flight chain is used in inclining or vertical conveyors up to the grade of 90 degrees.
I-flight is a double strand chain, which is used in wide conveyors (500 to 1,200 mm) and is the most suitable for heavy transporting in demanding conditions.

Employed by scientific designs of driving pulley, plastic covered head pulley for fireproofing and wear resistance, squirrel cage drum structure tail pulley with low broken rate, and unique tube designs of anti-run device, speed measuring and blocking material devices.
Our equipment are designed to strongly transport a wide variety of products, both horizontally and vertically, without transfer points. Capable of handling most dry, granular, free-flowing products, these machines also work well with many non-free flowing products.

In metallurgical industry hot matte, slag and other melted materials can be granulated in a process, where the flow of molten material is sprayed by water causing it to disintegrate. The formed granules drop into a pit filled with water.
Before the next phase in the process, the granules must be dewatered. A bucket elevator lifts the granules up from the pit dewatering them during the lift.
From the elevator, the granules are moved onto a dewatering screen that reduces the remaining water content of the granules before they are fed into a silo by a box-type belt conveyor.
