Rotary feeders keep your facility running
Accurate feed rate, required capacity and dust-free operation are often crucial elements for smooth operation in process industry. Rotary feeders and valves can make or break your production capabilities. Main function of rotary feeders and rotary valves is to discharge, feed or dose material from a hopper / bin / silo to the next process stage at constant / variable / adjustable, i.e. desired feed rate.
This required feed rate can also be applied under controlled atmosphere as the rotary valve can be used as an airlock, and thus, any leakage of air backwards in the system can be prevented.
In addition to the atmospheric control of gas phase, also dust emission rate can be maintained practically at zero due to the closed design of the system with various sealing technologies for the rotating axle. This enables practically a fully dust free operation with dusty powdery materials.
Furthermore, when operating with hot materials, we at Kopar have extensive know-how and experience in adjusting the tolerances due to thermal expansion to match perfectly your requirements.
Rotary valves and feeders carry a critical role in low-pressure pneumatic conveying, known as blower conveying. Additionally, pressure injection, in which material is fed at constant feed rate through a submerged lance inside molted slag , could not be applied without rotary feeder or rotary valves.
